Thanks for the assorted birthday wishes yesterday, guys! <3 I had a ridiculously good time.

Apparently I will be the (very excited) owner of a new guitar this weekend, courtesy of my dad. I am psyched. I've been wanting a guitar for ages, and it will be a little more practical to take to college with me than, oh, you know, a piano. *laughs*

Glad to hear you birthday was lovely! And yay for guitars! So much fun, and YES, more practical than a piano to take with you. Because let's be honest - playing a keyboard is great and all, but not the same.

I always have music recs ;) What kind of stuff are you into? Other than U2, that is :)

And iTunes should be DRM-Free now pretty much across the board - or else, it is whenever I'm downloading. If it isn't, though, you can convert the song, or else you can always burn the song to a disc and re-rip, to remove the password-prompting.

I like all kinds of things, it's kinda hard to classify one specific type. I have a decided fondness for U2/Coldplay/bands of that genre, whatever that genre is -- it's a particular sort of sound, but I'm not sure it has a name. But then again I like stuff by Lady Gaga and AFI and Nine Inch Nails too, so there ya go. You and I have remarkably similar taste in music, apparently. Hit me with some of your faves, I'll check 'em out.

Oh, really? I'll have to go try that again. I had a problem with my last fanmix, but that may have been because some of the songs on it were old iTunes downloads. I shall keep that in mind.

Tell me more about Bloc Party? (I was supposed to see them open for Panic! at the Disco, but the singer got sick and they cancelled.) And maybe Moby or the Magnetic Fields? *is choosing stuff at random*

For your iTunes song, just make your mix as you like, burn to a CD, reimport into iTunes and there you go! Normal songs.

I had this big ol' list of "Songs To Download When I get Another iTunes Card" from a loooong while back (I haven't bought iTunes music for months), and somehow that odd techno thing up there made its way onto it? I found it appropriate. :D
