School's finally out, thank God. This has been the longest year of my life, and I feel suddenly much lighter without exams to worry about anymore

CLONES AND LITERATURE IN THE DESERT. OH MY GOSH, NO LIE, I'D ALMOST FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT. That gets added to my official To-Write list stat. My sister's now reading The Things They carried, and we discuss everything together, so I'm sure I'll get plenty of vicarious bunnies from that which could be tied into said fic, too.
I think I need to get to know the characters better before I even attempt anything vaguely Trekkish, haha! Crack could definitely work, though. I'm good with crack.
(See, even discussing writing a little has gotten the creative pot simmering again. I just got an idea for that other-POV-Ben-from-Lost thing I was whining about the other day. Not that you really know what I'm talking about, but it will involve a certain immortal Egyptian, and also telescopes. It....may very well be epic.)
Yay! *bounces* That's happy. Our crazy California schools got out last week and college got out the week before that, but in our defense, we have to start REALLY early. But it's good to be out, huh? And yay pool! :D
Fialleril reminded me that I have that clone+desert+literature epic to work on. :P I'd nearlt forgotten. Now I actually have TIME to work on it, which I'm very happy about.
Maybe you should try writing another novel? ;) :p You still haven't finished that last one, missy!
If you want prompts, there's a community called 100 situations where you take a character or a pairing and go through a table of prompts. I'm unofficially doing it. I snagged all the prompts and copied them to a text file. :p
As far as stray bunnies, don't really have any off the top of my head. How about some Qui-Gon/Dooku general everyday life bits?
I have something hazy in the back of my mind that's showing novel potential. I refuse to look at it directly, for fear that it'll evaporate, and I'm just gonna let it solidify a little before I dare go near it. There are some characters from short stories I've written who are demanding something more, I think.
Do you have the link to that 100 situations comm? That may be a good thing for me to practice on.
I should really write some more Dooku. He gets irritable and moody if I ignore him for too long. I do miss him.
