I'm too lazy to go find that "I am disappoint" Flocke gif, but basically those are my sentiments exactly.
I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THIS EPISODE.
*feels like throwing a tantrum* You guys, I am getting really stressed. We have so many things to get answered in so little time -- I seriously don't know how they're going to do it. Eight more episodes. And of course half of that time will be taken up by alt!universe bullshit. Okay, nice idea, but it just needs to stop. I don't see how it's going to tie in. I don't care. Locke's flashsideways made me feel better, Ben's was entertaining, but I feel like they're trying to placate us emotionally -- like it's some sort of cop-out. And mostly they are a waste. Of. Time. I don't know, I am inarticulate and distractable tonight.
I still can't decide if I'm on Team Flocke or not. He keeps showing weird flashes of Real!Locke-ish behavior and mannerisms, so I'm sort of lulled into trusting him, and then he goes and does something like bitchslap Claire. You might be a smoke-thing, dude, but still. Not cool. I am also feeling really weird about Flocke talking about his mother. At first I thought he may have been referring to Real Locke's mom -- she was schitzophrenic, if I'm remembering correctly? -- but....since when do smoke monsters have mothers? I don't know where the heck they're going with this, but it's not making me happy. I do not want parental issues on a demigod level. Seriously.
The love trapezoid may be crumblng, but I am still so sick of this unnecessary romantic nonsense getting everywhere. Sawyer/Charlotte was just a giant pointless WTF. I will spare you the rant about how the show would be a thousand times better if romance was downplayed and people could focus on important stuff instead, but seriously. I'mma go find some genfic and sit and stew in it for a while.
I don't know why I'm being so bitchy about this episode -- I sort of saw this coming, because nothing can live up to last week's emotional tsunami and nothing can get people more excited that IMPENDING RICARDUS EPISODE, but....still.
*grumbles* Whatever, man. We get immortal hotness next week. I'm holding out for shirtlessness and also chains.
