I just saw Margin Call in the cinema and it was really excellent, in an extremely tense sort of way.

It would seem you and I are broadly in agreement on the merits or not of Transformers, The Ghost Writer and Gunless at least so far as you mention here, I have not access to the link, which seems a reasonable range of datapoints to start from. Have you seen Bon Cop Bad Cop ?

Oh, and a strong negative recommendation, for The Warrior's Way for which I had moderately high hopes in an over-the-top action-comedy sort of way; it unfortunately decides to fill in the gap between "greatest swordsman in the world leaves the misty Far East for a small town in the Wild West where Geoffrey Rush is the town drunk" and "endless hordes of ninjas track said swordsman to said town" with a gratuitous secondary antagonist and lots of gratuitous blood and sexual threat rather than, as i had been hoping, character development.
