I had been a little dissatisfied with the book Never Let Me Go, but I loved the film. I know a lot of people who had an issue with how they didn't fight their fate, but I thought that was the *point*. They can't see any alternative to the way their lives are going. And of course they have no understanding of the world outside, no support system, etc. I was more eloquent on the blog when it came out. Maybe :)

Carey Mulligan was genius. The amount of time she spends just *listening* and still being utterly compelling. Love it.

I think you're right, I think that is the point. (I read something with the author and I can't remember the exact wording but it was something like that.)

Forgot to mention that we watched the first season of Sons of Anarchy, and it was awesome.
