I've always liked Tom Stoppard but I have to say that I was also somewhat perplexed by "Arcadia". I'm not 100% sure what's going on there and would also like to see it performed.

I've been trying for ages to find a copy of "wilder life" - I have the little house cookbook (had it as a kid and purchased it again recently. I wanted to be a pioneer, too.

DQ_23 and I wanted badly to be pioneers. We played Little House on many a snowy day during recess.

I have only just heard of The Wilder Life but my public library has a couple of copies.

Also, read Worlds at War: the 25000 year struggle between east and west: http://www.amazon.com/Worlds-War-500-Year-Struggle-Between/dp/1400060672 Absolutely fascinating look at where the east/west dichotomy comes from and why it still exists.
