Fic Rec: Ships that Sank in Starlight by Geonncannon

I'm going to preface this rec by saying that I don't often read, let alone rec, femslash. It's not that I have anything against it, it's just rare that individual stories grab me.

That being said, I've been a fan of geonncannon's incredible talent for icon-making since way back when, and when I came across Ships that Sank in Starlight on (I think) stargateficrec (

I saw that pop up on my f-list but am also generally not a fan of femslash. But maybe I'll give this one a try if you say it's so good.

I'll be curious to see what you think of it.

I think part of what grabbed me about it was that it managed to be hot without being dark - usually the two are inextricably intertwined for me, but since I'm trying to give my psyche a break from the dark stuff for a bit, I haven't seen a lot that's registered on my subconscious as 'mmmm, hot!' recently.

Plus, as I mentioned, I thought Geon got the voices of both Janet and Serenity's crew just down perfectly, which is a major factor for me.
