Exploring the idea of what Septimus might have been like had he not grown up in Stormhold makes for an interesting AU. :D It's fitting, too, that you made him a navigator. Also, I've been wanting to see the stories of the princes' mothers explored in a fic, so thank you for that. Looking forward to what happens next! :D

I'm glad you like it so far, I should be able to post the next part fairly soon. Watched the movie again tonight to verify a few things like city names and so forth.
