428-я береговая батарея в Дувре - батарея Hougham?

Год назад, когда я писал про береговую оборону Дувра мне попались снимки военного времени 428 береговой батареи, которую я никак не смог идентифицировать с известными мне сооружениями. Интересно, что 8" батареи с номером 428 не числится в дуврском секторе береговой обороны на январь 1942 года. Все остальные известны и имеют другие калибры орудий ( Read more... )

Наверное все-таки Haugham battery
Орудие № 2. Видно пятно на бетоне защитной стенки потом закрашенное краской

My name bill from old farm cotts old folkstone road l was living on the site above the when the army started to fill in all the under growdl was looking at vidio of a digger on one of the gun sights thay wear diging in the wrong place but once thay found the the small store tunel if thay broke in the wall on right thay would have got into the plotig room buildings at the back oof house wher wc and ashower block the farmer then used them for pigs. The house and barn were knoked down to put the new road into dover.the barn was a officers mess on the back wall was a painting covering allthe wall it was of dover in the war with dog fights over the cliffs
The filling in of all the site was in àbout 1956-7 on the top road looking over ayclife was a mine field the army got shut of them we hope,two building left on top road used in the macking of the film the battel of briton in 1960 .I am am sorry if some of the spelling is not so good i am over 70 years now but i remeber most of the site.

Do I understand that the two surviving object in the upper part of the site were used in 1960 for the filming of a movie about the Battle of Britain? You can learn more precise name of the movie? For a minute, is this episode?
These photos are not from the film?
