I have been following the news about abortion in US from afar. It's easy for me since i'm not American and never had a baby. This news from Guardian has put things in a new and horrifying perspective.

I think you're completely right in getting angry. This is an outrage. I acknowledge that a junkie isn't the ideal candidate for a mother, but to charge her with murder for a still-born birth is absolutely ridiculous, and I agree, it plays into the whole issue of legal abortion, pro-choice, and women's rights.

It's amazing to me how much control a patriarchal society is trying to put on a woman's body and choices. It's really very bad. :(
