Ok, we're even then - I missed the Andre interview.
Such a joy to see her again, even if she wasn't playing on the court. She has always seemed to be very skittish around the press and doesn't do many interviews, especially now that she's retired, so this was truly treasured. I grew up trying to model my game after hers, and while I didn't quite succeed I can still nail an inside-out forehand like she can, lol!
You know...I'm not sure. Hm. I may look into that. If it is done, I'd assume it might be a more traditional thing between family members...but hey, SG-1 is pretty much family anyway! :)
I thought you'd know since you are our AF expert around here ;) If you find out, let me know, because I've read it in a few shipfics, and it would be cool.

Anyone can go on base and buy officer insignia. I don't know if there is a difference between the kind you buy at an official PX and the kind they sell on military surplus stores, however.
