John's feeling of being left out is painfully clear in this chapter.

But maybe the reality was that Sam himself had left him a long time ago.

Awesome and heartbreaking at the same time. *sigh*

Trust John to want to make a run for it - at least he's not leaving Sam behind. I love how Sam's trying to be strong even though he's obviously in so much pain.
