Well, I must be one of those hopeless ones you shake your head over. I know how to delete a browser's history, cookies, and temp files, but don't have a clue how to clear a browser's cache. What is a browser's cache?
There's no need to feel pathetic -- you already know how to clear the cache! IIRC Internet Explorer calls the cache "temporary files."
The cache is a collection of pages you've visited. Your browser stores a copy of them so it doesn't have to request them from their respective servers each time.

I have to help people do everything from clear the browser cache to learning to bold in Word.
This is the reaction of the average user. They don't know how to do it and they don't want to know how to do it.
