So! Seeing as I find myself unemployed again, and the job market is not great, and I love drawing a lot more than anything else I'm currently qualified for, I'm opening art commissions until further notice. :)
COMMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR WONDERFUL COMMISSIONS, GUYS!
HOW IT WORKS
You comment to this post with the kind of drawing you would like to request, links to any references if it's an original character or one I'm not otherwise likely to know, and your email address. You can request as many characters as you like from any fandom you like; pricing guidelines are below. I will get in touch with you once your drawing is completed, and once payment is received, I will send a high quality scan on to you. For an additional charge (just enough to cover postage) I will also send you the finished piece in the mail.
PRICES
Price will be determined based on 2 things: How many characters you want, and whether you want the finished piece to be a pencil sketch, an inked drawing, or an inked and colored drawing. Here's how it breaks down:
• A pencil sketch of 1 character will cost $15, with each added character costing an additional $10.
• An inked drawing of 1 character will cost $25, with each added character costing an additional $20.
• A colored & inked drawing of 1 character will cost $40, with each added character costing an additional $30.
• Headshots will be priced differently; a sketched headshot is $10, an inked one is $15, and an inked & colored one is $25.
And in handy chart form!

And so on. Prices are somewhat negotiable, for instance if you want a background or only partial coloring, or you just want little chibis that will take less time to draw then a fully detailed character; I'm always happy to work something out; but these are the general guidelines.
Note: As of 10/25/09, I've increased my asking prices. I do this not because I want to gouge anyone, but because of the amount of time and effort it takes, particularly for a fully inked and colored commission. If you've already given me your commission, then the price will not increase for you, but all new commissions are subject to the new price rules. I hope that everyone's okay with this.
PAYMENT
At the moment, I will only accept payment via PayPal or check. If paying with either of these methods is a problem for you, let me know and I'm sure we can work something out. Finished drawings will not be sent until payment is received; likewise, I won't expect payment until I've told you the drawing is completed (although if you prefer to pay in advance, that's certainly allowed).
WHAT TO EXPECT
I realize that some of these prices may seem high, so I want to give you some indication of what you can expect for your money. Here are a few drawings I've done -- some for other purposes, some for the purposes of this post -- as well as I what I would have charged for them by the standards I'm using for this round of commissions.
A sketched headshot of Austria ($10)
An inked headshot of Demona ($15)
An inked drawing of Liechtenstein ($25)
Hakuren & Devit in full color ($70)
A sketch of Gant and Near ($25)
Most of these are smaller scale than the scans I will send to you; I just shrank them for uploading purposes.
REQUESTS & PROGRESS
I'm just gonna steal this bit shamelessly from
halcyonjazz cos this really says it all.
DISCLAIMER: Lo-res versions of the commission results are available for viewing with permission from the commissioner. Additionally, artwork may not be taken, used, or reproduced without permission from the commissioner. I am not the person to ask if you want to use the images in this post, the rights were sold to the buyer and any questions of usability should be redirected to them accordingly.
Some images may not be safe for work.

Now, let's see if all my coding worked. The tables look wonky on DW for some reason; they look fine on LJ.
