"Would that be his academy days? or his Maquis days?" Rob asks with a wry grin, scanning the Flyer with his tri-corder. Deciding there are no proximity alerts he ventures closer, putting the tri-corder away and pulling a second device, slightly larger than the tri-corder, out of his bag. "Perhaps you were stationed aboard the Exeter at the same time?" McKay asks, turning on his heels. He looks the half-Klingon, half-Trill up and down, then says "Perhaps not" as he pivots back to face the Flyer, concentrating on the device in his hands.

Diziara walked up right behind Rob, and looked over his shoulder at the device Rob was cradling in front of him.

"I knew him while he was down in Auckland serving his time after getting caught in the Maquis," she paused, trying to see what was in Rob's hand. "And no I wasn't an inmate at the time... I was actually working for Admiral Paris, got stuck as his personal pilot for a time, he wanted to correct my behavior. What an ass..."

Rob pauses for a moment, lowering the device, and asks incredulously, "You were Admiral Paris's personal pilot?! How does that happen? And whose decision was it?" Rob snickers for a bit, then goes back to what he was doing. The device has a small display screen, that is flashing series of numbers very rapidly. Shortly there is a series of tones emitted from the device, followed quickly by Rob. "That's got it." He presses a final key on the device, then puts it into his bag as the hatch of the Flyer opens up for them.

Diziara ignored the question that'd been shot at her, and went straight for the open hatch of the Delta Flyer. She then paused right before the door, spun on heal, and caught Rob in a hug.

"You are an angel, I couldn't have gotten in anywhere near so quick. I've been wanting to fly one of these ever since I first heard about 'em. Tom always had a talent for this sort of thing." She paused and let Rob go. As she turned to head inside, she added over her shoulder, "This is the next best thing to having sex."
