At Daddy's appointment yesterday, the doctor was much more straight-talking than some of the others he's had.  He told him that there's a very small chance that he won't lose his right eye.  The eye socket will have to be covered over with skin.  He'll have part of the brow bone removed and a metal plate put in to replace it.  They'll also graft ( Read more... )

Your dad is an incredible man.

This is a terrible thing to go through, but I'm sure he feels blessed to be surrounded by such amazing family and friends.

My thoughts are with him and all of you.

No words. I have no doubt it won't make too much difference in your dad's life, he's still got the people he loves, and he'll have that for a long time. I like to think that this is what really matters, much love.
