[Anyone who happens to be in the World That Never Was will notice something--or someone sitting against the rubble of Memory's Skyscraper; it's hard to tell with his hood up. Even with all the Heartless and lesser Nobodies prowling around, whoever it is seems pretty calm as he types away on his communicator. Once in awhile, a Shadow crawls up to ( Read more... )

[He doesn't really have the memories so much as vague impressions, but he figures it's better than nothing. Ven sticks to text, though, since that's what this started in.]

There was a big fight. I think about six or seven of them but it's all pretty twisted up for me.

[He was kind of there and kind of not there and kind of there again which makes his memories of this portion of Sora's journey even more disjointed than the rest. Thank you Roxas-merging-back-into-the-Other.]

A lot of people, but the only one I'm sure about is Sora. I kind of think one of the others was familiar but I don't know how, or even who.

i think it was just called that cuz its in the world that never was. see, things are kinda weird cuz youve got darkness and light in these universes but this world was sort of in the middle. it wasnt really -supposed- to exist but it did. i dunno much about the castle itself though except that it was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

[And he was living in it too, but who needs those kind of details?]

i dunno if youve seen em around yet but that world has heartless and Nobodies in it. you could say the Nobodies lived there? it was kinda safe i guess. i dunno how it was taken down though but the place isj ust a mess.

[Since deciding to return to The World That Never Was on a weekly basis, this being his second week back for patrol, seeing someone sitting amongst the rubble and, dear god why, hugging one of those Dusks was most definitely a sight to behold.

The creature makes no move to harm the young man nor does the young man seem afraid of what he is hugging. Genesis isn't too sure if he should attack or not, but he opts to simply keep his weapon at hand as he approaches the pair.]

Not too many come to this World, given how dangerous it is. Did you return simply to inquire about the destroyed castle?

[If it were a Dusk he'd be pretty skeptical from the pranks some of them were known to pull back in the day, but the Dancers normally didn't harm him. They were pretty loyal! Well, until he upset one and he got a nice kick to the gut, but that only happened once.

And then he nearly jumps right out of his coat at the new voice. Sup, pseudo heart attack, what's going on?]

W-Well, uh... Not exactly. I was gonna poke around in it if the place was still around but it wasn't, so... I just kinda wanted to know what happened.

[Still, it was a Nobody and no one really comes around here to hug the things, but Genesis dismissed it for now.]

Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess...

I was told a battle took place. Quite large if it topple an entire castle.

Gift of the who-now?

[He pauses to pat the lesser Nobody on the head, glancing over to where the castle was.]

Any idea who was all involved in this?

The Castle That Never Was?

[ Because, really, it's not every day you hear a name like that. She's curious, but not just for the name. The information that came with it is more than a little thought provoking, after all. ]

A castle floating in the sky... sounds familiar.

[ Midgar was often referred to as The Floating City. She isn't sure if she could say it's in better shape than this castle, though, what with Midgar having been taken by the darkness. Still. ]
