Would anyone like to explain to me the fashion trends on these worlds? I tried my best to mimic what I've seen, but...

And here I thought you could do anything, Obi-Wan. [She giggles softly.] Where are you? I'll help you.

[Don't you worry-- Obi-Wan's not the least bit offended. If nothing else, he just grins a little more broadly at her.]

I might have got along alright if this weren't an entirely different galaxy with entirely different trends. Ah-- I'm in the clothing store a three blocks south of our house.

[She holds back another laugh and shakes her head just a bit before she turns of the device and heads to the clothing store. Thinking of it now, she'd never seen Obi-Wan in anything but his Jedi garb, even in her own time. He had always been so put together, no wonder this had amused her so much.]

There you are. [Her height always put her at a disadvantage when looking for people, especially with racks of clothing obscuring her view.] What kind of cafe is this?

[Alas, Obi-Wan isn't much help in that area either. His Master and his future apprentice both tower over him. Nevertheless, he's happy to see her when he does spot her weaving through the clothing racks.]

A casual, friendly sort of thing, to my knowledge. To be neat and presentable is the only criteria I can think of.

[Ami, who usually dresses conservatively but without too much fashion thought herself, may or may not find the atrocity atrocious, but she does have one good thing to say about it.]

It looks warm, now that the weather is cooler in some of these worlds.

It is quite toasty. Sadly, that's not really a factor in my hunt for proper civilian clothes. [But he's half-tempted to buy it anyway.]

Could you go shopping with your friends? There are so many worlds with new styles to try.

Ah, yes. A friend of mine volunteered to help me out. The only one that really could, I imagine. [A grin.] Most of those I live with are in the same boat as I. We've worn a ... uniform of sorts almost our entire lives.

Well, I've observed that many people in these worlds enjoy clothes with contradicting colors. And... also unnecessary amounts of zippers and belts, but I wasn't terribly keen on unneeded accessories.

While that does appear to be the case I wouldn’t look to them for fashion advice. Besides, I don’t recall seeing anyone wearing plaid.

You should try for a suit from a tailors. It could be made to fit you perfectly and would come out looking much more dignified.

A suit? I think that might be overdressing for a café.
