The other day, I was sitting, not at my computer but elsewhere, because your stuff hangs around in my head, wondering why TAB2 seems to get so cracked later on. Now I feel like A HA! Maybe.
What I admire most is how you build genuinely cinematic tension and have straight-up action-adventure plot elements -- but the writing itself is still all about the people, and that itself ramps up the tension even more. By eliding things, I mean, in the ways these characters really would elide them, which also happens to make readers who haven't been through the, er, training, bite our nails. I don't know if I'm explaining well -- but it's awesome. Really crafty control of emphasis & suggestion.
