I think it's because we're used to hearing the very like.. Angry American accent. All fuck-you consonants and sharp vowels.. And then it goes all soft and it's, "WTF?"

Also I always wonder what sort of make up RR is wearing. I mean, I know the professionals cake on the powder and have special ways of doing things so that it dries and doesn't get all over, but I always expect that it should be all over the place.
