Push leftovers

Push for Pennsic wasn't anywhere near as big as we were hoping, and lunch wasn't incredibly well advertised for a multitude of reasons (all of which are easier to spot in hindsight).  Therefore we have TONS of food left over: probably around 200 pasties, about 2/3 bushel of apples, lots of baby bell cheese, probably somehwere around 9 doz ( Read more... )

For the pasties with eggs, toss it if it was out in the heat. People have gotten really sick from the eggs in egg salad at picnics where the food was left out all day - they used to think it was the mayo, but it's the eggs in the egg salad. . . Ask a carnivore about the meat. The dairy might make you feel ill if it's gone bad, but I've never heard of people getting horribly sick (salmonella et al.) from dairy. Overall, I wouldn't risk it with the cooked food. Hospital bills could be a lot higher than the cost of the groceries, and the wrong kind of food poisoning can muck up your digestive system permanently - I have a friend who had it probably 20 years ago and her stomach hasn't been the same since then.
