Title: The Chronology of us - Chapter 28: Jetting off
Rating: T
Pairing: Stana/Nathan
Hi folksies, yes I'm still alive lol. The past couple of weeks have been crazy and things are only just beginning! The show that I'm musically directing starts rehearsing on Monday - don't worry Castle day here is Tuesday, and whenever Tuesday comes around I like to confuse everyone I meet by exclaiming excitedly "It's Castle Monday!!!"
So apart from my show soon starting, I'm also singing at a rugby game this Saturday in front of a crowd of 35,000 people, and I can also tell you I got through the producers round for the NZ version of The X-Factor which means I'll be auditioning for a live audience and the four celebrity judges, one of whom is Daniel Bedingfield (swoon) and another who is Melanie Blatt from The All Saints. The other two are Kiwi artists.
So yes, busy times ahead! Anyway, on with the chapter!
...
Stana and Nathan were looking forward to their Christmas break, but it was thanksgiving in a weeks time and the next episode was very Esposito centered and because Nathan and Stana weren't required as much on set, they were allowed a four day weekend.
Stana had just finished shooting a scene with Jon and Seamus and was now pouring herself a coffee at the food table. Nathan poked his head into the room. "Hey, you got a minute?"
"For you? Of course", Stana smiled back at him, making him smile cutely at her.
He came to her and put his hands on her arms, holding her there gently. "I've just been on the phone with Jeff and he was wondering if we would be available to spend thanksgiving with him."
"Hmm, well we do have thanksgiving off... for once", Stana smiled a crooked smile.
"Right?" Nathan chuckled.
Stana inhaled a deep breath, clutching her warm cup in her hands. "I think... it would be lovely to spend thanksgiving with Jeff and the rest of your family... Are Bob and Cookie going to be there?"
"They are indeed", Nathan nodded.
Stana nodded back, smiling enigmatically. "Sounds perfect."
"You're perfect", Nathan sighed as he brought his forehead down to rest on hers.
"Oh...You're so right", Stana told him, making him laugh heartily.
"You sound like one of your..."stanatics"", Nathan said, kissing her gently on the corner of her mouth.
"I think it's important to be a fan of yourself... I know you are", Stana gave him a sly grin.
Nathan laughed again. "Dude, I'm the biggest Fillionite of all."
Stana shook her head, grinning. "You're wrong." She stroked a loving hand over his face, running her thumb along his adams apple. "I'm the biggest Fillionite of all."
Nathan gave her a dopy smile, pinching her cheek lightly. "Aww, so sweet", he made a kissy face and Stana chuckled. "Ahem?" She cleared her throat, raising an expectant eyebrow.
"Hmm? What?" Nathan gave her an innocent look, stringing her along.
"You're my biggest fan too, right?"
"Oh, um... nah", Nathan shrugged.
Stana let out a squeal, smacking him on the chest.
"I say that only because I know the person who is in fact your biggest fan."
"Oh really, and who might that be?" Stana asked him, looking not too impressed.
"You will find out soon enough", Nathan told her mysteriously.
Stana shook her head. "Alright, I'll let this go...for now. But you'd better say something sweet to me or I might have to rearrange my thanksgiving plans."
Nathan smirked, inhaling a deep breath through his nose, tightening his grip on her arms. "Stana."
"I'm listening."
"Do you know what I'm going to be most thankful for this thanksgiving?"
"Me."
Nathan open and closed his mouth a couple of times. "You ruined it."
Stana shrugged. "I knew the answer to the question."
"And what if my answer had been different?"
"Then you would have been flying solo to Edmonton."
"Well, I'm going to go and book the tickets before I do anything else that might possibly change your mind", Nathan gave her forehead a quick kiss and a wink, sauntering off.
Stana shook her head, a tight lipped smile on her face.
"Oh and Stana?" His voice sounded from the edge of the soundstage.
She turned to him, a look of minimal interest on her face.
"You were right", he smiled at her, and waited for her returning smile before he departed.
...
"Nathaaan, this happened last time we went away together and we almost missed out flight, don't you remember?"
"Fondly", Nathan said to her, poking his head out from beneath her dress.
Stana groaned lowly, reluctantly closing her legs and sitting herself up on their bed, pushing him away from her.
"Come on, we have to make a move."
"Well I was trying..."
"Nathan", Stana rolled her eyes causing Nathan to shrug innocently.
Stana leaned forward on the bed, so that she and Nathan were practically nose-to-nose. "If you're a very good boy from now until we board the plane, I'll re-initiate you into the mile high club."
"I'm going to just...load my suitcase into the car", Nathan told her with glassy eyes.
"Good boy", Stana smiled after him, not failing to eyeball his ass cheeks rubbing against the tight denim of his jeans as he walked out of their bedroom.
...
"Alright, this is us", Nathan took Stana's knapsack in his hand, standing from the seats in the boarding lounge.
Stana gave him a confused look. "They're boarding the flight for Toronto."
"Well... that's where we're going."
Stana blinked. "What are you talking about?"
"We're going to Toronto, come on, we're boarding."
"Wait, did Jeff move?" Stana picked up her handbag and followed Nathan hastily through the crowd, both of them wearing scarves so as to conceal their identities.
"Nope, he's meeting us there."
"In Toronto? Why? That's hours away from Edmonton."
"Well, what if I said we're not going to Edmonton straight away."
Walking faster, obviously nervous now, Nathan moved his head to the side, averting his guilty gaze from Stana's bemused one. "Nathan Christopher Fillion you had better start explaining things more clearly, and I mean now", she whispered to him furiously.
He swallowed, stopping in his stride as they reached they end of the cue waiting to board the aircraft. "Jeff and I decided that seeing as Thanksgiving is still six days away, we'd take a little tiki-tour, you know, spend some time together as brothers, just the two of us."
"If you wanted it to be just the two of you then why did you invite me to come?"
Nathan gave her a sheepish smile. "You're our tour guide."
Nathan elaborated on what he meant as they boarded the plane, and needless to say, they were re-inducting themselves into the mile-high club before the wheels of the plane had even left the ground,
...
The couple disembarked in Toronto and made their way through security. Once they were out in the main terminal, they heard a whistle, followed by a voice. "Hey, Gigantor!"
Nathan grinned, turning Stana and himself around. He spotted Jeff flagging them down and he and Stana made their way over to him, each offering him a lingering hug.
"Stana, merveilleux de vous revoir, vous êtes à la recherche magnifique comme toujours", Jeff kissed Stana on the cheek, hugging her warmly.
"Jeff, vous faufiler. Je ne peux pas croire que les deux de vous arrangé cette derrière mon dos. Vous êtes aussi mauvais chaque l'autre", she answered him back, shaking her head, but grinning from ear to ear.
"Alright, alright, just because I didn't pay attention in French class doesn't mean you two have to mock me", Nathan grumbled good-heartedly.
"Oh we were just talking about what a piece of work you are little brother", Jeff grinned, patting his brother on the back.
"I learned all I know from you", Nathan smiled back sweetly and Jeff gave him a small shove.
"How're the girls?" Nathan asked Jeff.
"They're good", he lowered his voice. "Kaylee's uh...freaking out." Nathan and Jeff shared a humored and knowing glance. "Practically begged me to let her come but I told her she's got to be at school, and we'll be back in three days, at which time she can uh...."
"Mhm, I get it", Nathan grinned.
"Alright Ms. Katic, let's J'toffre." Stana laughed, shaking her head at Jeff who winked at Nathan, the two brothers flanking the starlet as they walked through the terminal of Montreal-Trudeau international airport, ready to board their flight to Paris.
