I usually don't participate in Castle/Stana Fandom rants, because so many people are often just fighting about silly little things, but today Stana posted the following message on her facebook page:

Dear Friends,
I have come to a difficult decision regarding fan mail and autographs.
Firstly, regarding fan mail, there have been some security issues which have lead my team to insist that I return any postal mail. I surely will miss all the darling gifts, and stories, and wine gums! Your generosity has always been so incredibly thoughtful and wonderful.
If you do still wish to send a gift, I ask that you consider donating to a charity on my behalf. I am a big supporter of children's welfare and environmental causes. So please give forward, and send me a note through the fan email to let me know who you have donated to.
Unfortunately, this also means that I will no longer be able to receive autograph requests by mail. And I do not wish to use a fan mail service. These services would print my signature on photos and mail them out, and I believe that you all would much rather the real thing.
Of course, I will continue to sign autographs in person. It has been a very big decision and it saddens me greatly that we have come to this point.
On a positive note, I am still here, and you can all still send me your fabulous letters, and pictures, and stories, through the fan email address. You can send in your art and photos, which we will post on the Facebook fan page, and you can tweet me anytime!

When the Castle Fandom started out we were very small and quite close, don't get me wrong - it's great that the fandom is growing! It means we get more Castle, and more Caskett, which is wonderful! And a lot of people are still close! (And they think they hold power, which is a whole other story!) ...
Anyway! The reason I'm posting this is because I find it disgusting that an actress - any actress- but especially Stana should have to stop receiving fanmail! It's not bad on her part, but on the sick people who caused security issues. We're talking about an actress who only has 64,000 odd likes on facebook and 172,000 followers on twitter. She's not even at the peek of her success and she has to stop sending signed pictures to fans.
While I highly doubt it was any of you who caused the trouble, I have come to realise that the Castle fandom is not one I enjoy being a part of. I love the show and the cast and will never stop watching it.
However, I know that RPF doesn't cause any direct harm to Stana or Nathan, I fear that my writings could fuel peoples imaginations and lead them to do things unwanted in this world.
This is why I must announce that I will no longer partake in writing or reading Stanathan RPF. I am disowning, but not deleting this account and community. Feel free to read my past works, but note there will be no further updates. You may continue to post stories here, but try to stick to the rules so nothing gets too messy or out of hand.
The Castle Fandom is full of boisterous people with big opinions. This is just mine, please respect it. Thank you.
