Did he really suggest that a mom take her 3-year-old and travel all the way across the continent to attend a furry convention?  How inappropriate is that!  Does this person have no common sense at all, or is he really just as ditzy and confused as he seems to be?  Either way....

See, this is what throws me off... He sent me the synopsis of his manuscript like a year ago. It was actually quite good, and I'm a major writing snob. I'd say the person was stupid, but that one small part doesn't fit. And I refuse to pin it on Asperger's since I'm diagnosed with that.

Um....in his defence I don't think he knows what a furry or a furry convention is. Most people don't, I mean one of the board members wanted to go but 'zomg no wai furries freak me out' little does she know she just insulted a small percentage of the board.

I think that people should just back off of him sometimes or are we all just going to continue to play on the whole 'english is'nt his first language and he's an older male' card and all be dicks behind his back. I've seen it happen several times over.....

Really good point here, Ena, although like I'd commented on Stampy's post before, something really doesn't fit right. He knows English perfectly well. I honestly wish I didn't delete the sample he sent me of his writing; was proof enough of anything. At most, there was a spelling error or two, and minor at that. If he didn't commission people, I'd think he was a Troll... I still sometimes wonder if he is. :/

I don't think he is a troll at all. I've actually taken the time to get to know him a little better because of all of the previous drama that surrounded him.

Probably he's not but at the same time concerns me a little. Like, I really cannot emphasize enough that he definitely knows English, extremely well, too. I deal with him for business.

He has a remarkable level of lack of interaction - lack of sensitivity... just not on the same page as anyone else. So wrapped in his own world that he doesn't seem to engage with the rest of the world much at all.

I'm also mildly aspi, I suspect if this is Aspergers it's pretty intense or else fully autistic. Otherwise the motivation behind what he does has to be either wilful stupidity or trolling...

Whatever the cause, the effect is someone constantly jarring and at odds with what other people are talking about... At odds with whatever almost anyone else would recommend or suggest... it's hard to appreciate.
