I too have suffered through House of 1000 Corpses, except I watched the whole thing and then the sequel. My brother liked it a lot and thus made me. He claimed to like it because it was stylistically different or something. It just gave me a bad taste in my brain. Be glad you didn't finish it, because it just gets worse and the bad guys win. I had to watch the second movie not only because he wanted to see it, but also because I really had to see that crazy psychotic evil family get put down and I sincerely hoped the second movie would do just that. (It did, but it still sucked to sit through parts of it.) To this day I still don't like dwelling too much on those movies. ^^;
