Why, yes, it does take me five days to check my NCEA results (I have so not been putting it off)
I passed. NCEA Level 3. I passed. If I was going this year, I'd be into university like a flash.
Oh, FYI:
N: Not Achieved = failed, baby. why are you even taking this subject?
A: Achieved = passed. good, but not great
M: Merit = passed really rather well. dude! you rock!
E: Excellence = we bow at your feet and shower you with flowers
Average grades in alphabetic order by subject:
Calculus: Merit (that, I wasn't expecting)
Chemistry: Achieved (what?? I would have thought these two would be the other way around)
Economics: Merit (aw, there I was thinking it was my best subject. there goes Scholarship Award)
English: Merit (clearly drunken speeches on various works of fiction is a fairly successful revision technique)
French: Excellence (ooh lala! Single Subject Scholarship, baby! hopefully this is an indication that our time in France will not be spent wandering around in an unintelligible daze)
Latin: Excellence (Single Subject Scholarship plzkthnx. we should go, like, visit the Pope or something)
Damnit, I just realized that if I do get Scholarship, I'm out of the country when they're awarded. :( I shall have to get Mum to put it in my account or traveler's cheques or something.
