So today my permit was approved to accept a role in Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds, starring Tom Cruise. According to the jacket I was fitted for, I'm playing Private Moon of the 29th Infantry Division. Filming is next week, monday through thursday. Should be tons of fun!

They're filming somewhere in Rockbridge Monday through Thursday, and my first exam isn't until Saturday. So I applied, got the part, and then got the S-2 to email the dean saying what a good cadet I am. Lots of work, but I think it will be worth it.
