I was thinking of including a bull fight as a part of a trip to Spain I'm planning to take in a couple of years. I'm not sure yet how I will fund the adventure but I'm having fun planning it anyways. Did you see anything of particular interest among the bull fighting collection? How hard is it for a general card holder to get to see that collection?

I might just have to volunteer at a library around here. You're making it sound like fun.

If you have an LAPL card (or even if you don't) just call up Emma and schedule an appt - I don't know how tight their schedule is. I'm sure if you told her you're planning a Spain trip and want to learn more about bullfighting before going, she might be able to help point you at things best suited to your interest.

The collection takes up a full 8'+ row of shelving, both sides. I didn't look closely at anything, but one of the pieces of ephemera stationed on the floor was a length of board with about 8 ceramic tiles painted with bullfighting scenes attached to it.
