Gwen had been laying low since truth day, because she kind of had some major issues with the whole dying thing and hated that it was out there on radio for everyone to know and she didn't know how people would treat her and ugh everything was terrible. But she figured maybe today she'd wander down to a common room and test the waters a little

Some time into the morning, Cassandra stomped back into the room. She was in her armor, which only had a little bit of eel guts on it, and she looked... not particularly amused.

"Do not leave the dorms unless you must," she said flatly.

"Don't worry, that's not even gonna be a thing today," Gwen said, shaking her head from where she was laying in bed, checking her phone.

Cassandra sank down in a chair. She picked up a rag and began the delicate task of cleaning each part of her armor before prying it off. She did have class today, much as she was inclined to skip it.

"Good," she said. "There are fewer eels within the grounds, but it is still not a kind place for the unprepared."

"How long were you out there?" Gwen asked. "You've still got all your parts, right?"

"I am fine. I am used to worse," Cassandra said. She put one gauntlet down on the desk. "I was out there for several hours. Clearing out a path was... not as easy as I anticipated."

"You could have just stayed in," Gwen pointed out, though living with Spider-Man, she knew how much people did not do that sometimes.

"I was going for my morning exercise," Cassandra said. She looked up. "It felt irresponsible to let so many of the creatures remain near the dorm gates."

"Well, on behalf of the rest of us, thanks," she said. "I don't think I'd be any real good against those things."

"They are mindless fish," Cassandra replied. She stripped off her other gauntlet. "But they bite."

Gwen frowned. "Sometimes I think we're just living a Syfy movie. One of the crappy ones, starring some 90's genre actor."

Cassandra blinked, then squinted at her as she got to her vambraces. "I'm sorry?"

"They're movies on TV. Usually about people who are getting attacked by monster animals or ice storms or whatever," Gwen said. "We'll get you educated on them."

"I have only seen a movie once," Cassandra admitted. "It was... bewildering."

"Oh, these are more than bewildering," Gwen told her, sitting up. "What movie was it?"

Cassandra blinked. "I... do not know," she said. "There were lights, and colors, as if it was magic caught in a box."

Look, she was new.
