We had a wonderful trip! It was a bit hectic building up to our departure, but we made it. We left early Friday morning and arrived in Puerto Vallarta about 2:15 pm. We had four Christmas dinners in a row. Saturday through Tuesday we ate at Aunt Debbie's, my aunt and uncle's, my in-laws' and my parents' houses, respectively. We had a good holiday. We're home! We missed two of our four flights and got home a few hours late, but we're here. We landed about 9:30 on Monday night at which point I had been awake for over 24 hours and was very ready for bed. We have some food again and have started unpacking and all that stuff. The Minneapolis Star Tribune has an article today discussing new airport security measures which include the banning of all liquids, gels and lotions in carry-on baggage. So I have to fly to Europe with no hand lotion for over 12 hours in recycled air? Or toothpaste? I hate checking luggage, and it's not like I can really leave all my toiletries at ( Read more... )

We caved in and did some touristy stuff today. This is my first trip to Chicago, so I wanted to see a few things.
