In anticipation of the RNC, the hubby and I headed up to the Upper Peninsula (the U.P. or "Yoop") of Michigan to visit my godparents at their "lake home." ( Lots of photos if you like that kind of thing )
Waaah! I miss the U.P. I wanna go again soon......
Man, that's a lot of berries! I was pleased with our group's modest take in North Carolina last month, but it was nothing compared to the amount you found.
Give Anderson that picture to look at when the RNC gets to be too much.
We did have the distinct advantage of being delivered directly to the berry patch. We only brought home about 14 quarts (8 for Mom, 6 for us), and most are to give away. I don't actually eat them.
Here's hoping that he won't need to see it because it won't be terribly exciting for him at work!
I love Maine and never shut up about it. One of the things I love most about hiking there is that you can pick blueberries right off the trail (in the right season, of course).
Ooh, I've never been to Maine (really, the NE quadrant of the US minus NYC). We've been going up to the UP since before I can remember.
I caught a sunfish that I had to throw back when I was maybe 5 years old? My hubby is like Super Boy Scout and probably would as he's quite outdoorsy. His alternate college plan was to go into forestry!
