Mom and I leave for our trip to Sicily on Saturday evening. I was having trouble falling asleep last night, so I got back up and worked on my packing list for a little while. I have a good idea of what I'm taking, but I like to write it down so I can see how much it will really be, and to prevent me from forgetting to actually put things in the bag

I would reply by having you replace the phrase "makeup and purses" with "men." Just a thought. =)

I am back on continuous BC (woohoo!) so I shouldn't need it as often, but I am a huuuuuuge fan of my DivaCup. It was so nice to go abroad for three weeks and not need half a box of supplies.

For this trip I found some light-weight dark linen pants that were shockingly long enough. I just don't wear khakis at home, so it seems silly to buy them to go abroad. This trip is also not likely to have weather colder than the low 60s, which helps.

But small and black, not bulky, ugly, and teal. ;p
Your trip was also different, but if you were doing a more urban trip, a shoulder bag might be better than a backpack anyway. If I did take a backpack, I would never wear it on my back in Italy unless it was empty!
