Here be dark
I went to my manager's office at 3:30 for a brainstorming session.
His office has a window, and his desk faces away from it, so as I sat in the "guest" chair I faced the window.
And as we talked, I couldn't help but notice the sun sinking ever so slowly.
When I left his office at about 4:45, the sun was gone.
It was pitch black outside when I left at 5:30.
Damn. I hate winter. Here's the dark. Next comes the cold.
Side rant: How hard is it for people to realize that when I got married and changed my name, I took my maiden name as my middle name, so my middle initial changed? The RMV couldn't get it right at first (I walked out with my temporary then went "wait a sec?!?!" and ran back in). One of my banks changed my name correctly in their system, and today I got a statement and the name was right. But I also received today the new debit card (in a separate envelope), and they did it wrong there. While I'm on the subject, in general, changing your name is a real pain in the ass. I highly recommend not doing it unless you really have to. Thank goodness I only have to do this once. :)
