OK, that title may be wrong... my French is pretty rusty :)

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night, Karen and I went to a fundraiser dance for a friend of scoobydee2379. Other than the massive amounts of disco and some drunk a** yelling at us when we left, it was a good time. I read on Janet's LJ that they raised quite a bit of money for him which is good ( Read more... )

Dirty secret: the "you're late" couple is selected before the show begins, and they volunteer (or at least, agree to be volunteered). They watch the first 15 minutes of the show from a special spot upstairs and then a member of the staff brings them to their seats at the appointed time.

Oh wow. I'm surprised they didn't even tell us late folks. :)

DOH! And now it all makes sense.

Somehow, I thought I was reading Erin's LiveJournal (Erin O'Brien, also on my friends page, graduated same year as me). I did wonder why she was talking about having a T adventure...she lives in Manhattan, after all.

See, I sent her a giant rhinovirus (from the giant microbes collection). I have NO idea why I thought she was the author of this entry, but that explains the comment.

For the record, I also have a giant rhinovirus. His name is Spot.

OK, that totally makes more sense to me now! That's cool about the rhinovirus... aren't giant microbes fun?? :) My sister got mono (a little purple blob with flirty eyelashes) and Brian has the common cold (a cute spiky blue ball with eyes).

The rhinovirus is the common cold. Rhino is .... damnit... can't remember... Latin? Greek? One of the 2 of those... for nose. I've got the same thing as Brian does. Mine is named Spot.
