...and the angels wept

Madonna and Guy are divorcing.

It's just so sad. They seemed so perfect for each other; two human beings of great pretention, marginal talent, and superior marketing skills. Two self-absorbed rich people who found each other in a world of self-absorbed rich people. Sigh. It brings a tear to my eye, to think a marriage so clearly based in strike- ( Read more... )

Lol. I probably wouldn't actually want to do it, but it is tempting sometimes, isn't it? Just the thought of having more freedom like that, more time for yourself? :-)

Oh, YES. I have been in terrible shape all week. I never threw up, I just constantly felt like I was about to. Ugh.

Princess had it as well, poor baby. But yes, we are both up and about today, and feeling much better. I will even eat something other than toast for dinner (I managed toast yesterday, but had nothing but Sprite for two days before that.)

Hope you feel better soon!

Okay. I *almost* had a gigantic freak out because I saw my own words about Personal Demons flashing in my face...until I noticed the link to Bitten By Books and remembered that I let them put up a few of my reviews before things at UFL got straightened out.

Good lordy, I'm awake now.....*twitch*

Lol, dammit! I thought when I read it that it sounded familiar, and then I googled it and saw it was yours, and remembered you'd done some reviews for them, but I forgot to mention it in the post! Sorry!

Hmm...that's an interesting blog topic actually. I always keep an eye out for plagiarism in my reviews, I wonder if others do the same?

Up until the very instant when it clicked I was looking at my own words, it never dawned on me to think someone would plagiarize from any of my reviews.

It was more effective at waking me up than coffee. :D

Well, yes, that's an even better idea, isn't it? Doh.

But then I have to service them all sexually, and frankly I don't have that kind of time. :-)

I've thought of polygamy as not such a bad deal either. But as Sadie wrote, I tend to make friends much more easily with men. Now, if I were allowed a say in the other wives? That might be okay LOL.

It is a sad state of affairs though that when famous people get married, most of us wonder how long it will really last. Too many of those unions are a joke and it tends to make people look at all celebrity relationships through that lens. I feel bad for the ones that are genuine, because they have to deal with the same public scrutiny as the publicity hounds.

It is sad, and like I said, much as I loathe both Madonna and Guy I do appreciate that they genuinely seemed to try and make a go of it, and tried to hold back on some of my meaner thoughts.

Oh, I assume I get some say in the picking of the other wives. I wouldn't even consider it otherwise. :-)
