seen and not heard, writing thoughts, enough is enough, in which i open up in an afterschool spe, things that suck and are just generally, feelings suck but i still have them, why do i do this to myself, readers are not the enemy, things that make me sick, i take writing fucking seriously, endings

And it shows! So let me just say, THANK YOU. A million bazillion times, thank you. That is something I respect and admire about writers out there soooo much. That you care and you want to give us readers the best damn thing you can, fighting tooth and nail to achieve that best damn thing. Blood and tears sacrificed to the computer gods who suck you completely dry sometimes. And yet you keep coming back for more, never allowing yourself to "settle" for something half-assed. Conquering (or at least beating back to a safe distance) all the things and people that crop up, yet you are still striving to do more and to keep getting better ( ... )

I totally reject the notion that there is any difference in worth between genre writers and litfic writers. It's bullshit. For a start, litfic is a genre - and I don't care if that statement causes anyone precious to squeal - and all genres include works that range from the utterly brilliant to the bloody awful.

Yours is at the top end. I've said it before and I'll say it again: yours is the most exciting voice in urban fantasy right now.

I love your fiction. I've loved your blog for a long time and I'm sure it'll keep on being ace, whatever you decide to post. Sorry you've been hit by this shitstorm, which is 100% unfair and stupid. For what it's worth, I think you're doing the right thing.
