First, not only did Charlaine Harris give me such a great blurb for UNHOLY GHOSTS, she talked it up on her blog the other day:

“I was fortunate enough to get an ARC of Stacia Kane’s forthcoming Unholy Ghosts after I met her at DragonCon. Unfortunately, this novel won’t be out until May. You should put it on your calendars NOW. The world-building is ( Read more... )

Just having moved from London to Toronto I know exactly how you feel. I really hope things will get better and you'll feel more settled in. At least you're getting great comments on your writing, that's pretty amazing:D.

Good luck and have fun at the convention!

I wish you weren't feeling so down. I wish there was some way I could help. You know you have my hugs and prayers.

And those are fabulous comments, Stace!

Well, you already know my feelings. I just want you all to be happy because you deserve it so much!

I think it's good to take steps to try moving forward and being a little happier where you are. Doesn't mean you can't think about making changes if/when it's possible. :)

Also, I love that KMM has now blurbed you - awesome!!

*hugs*

First, congrats on the blurbs! As for the homesickness, yeah, I understand that. I got hit with major flashbacks and some depression right after I came back home after my semester in England, the following "spring semester" (even though I was working at that point) because it had been a year since all of that stuff had happened, and again this year during the "spring semester" because it had been 10 years. Adjust to a new place is hard no matter what, and changing cultures so radically does nothing to help that transition. So, *hugs* and feel free to e-mail me if you just want to let it out at any point if it will help you :)
