Dreams?

It seems like so many people I know on here talk about their dreams on here.  I find this fascinating, since we all have them.  Now, not everyone can remember all of their dreams, and some people can have crystal clear images of every second of what the dream was about.  I am somewhere in the middle and it seems the older I get the more I seem to

To prove my point about how odd dreams are. The last few nights I have dreamed:
-that i was in love with someone. Sometimes it was my ex Jenn, and sometimes I did not know who it was. I woke up crying.
-that i was on the show ncis and that I was chasing a woman that murdered someone. I caught up with her and tackled her and it Jane Lynch.
-that i was being stalked and chased by murderous muppets in a forest. They wanted me dead and I already have an irrational fear of muppets as it is.

I remember most of mine, I write them down as often as I can because the less intense ones tend ot fade and get mixed up before they are forgotten. The significance varies I think, sometimes there is a deeper meaning other times it's just something fun or meaningless.

I don't write them down or anything, but I am really wondering where they come from. Yes, sometimes I dream about the last thing I was thinking of, and sometimes (like last night) I just have something random. It was a dream about santa claus and trying to get things organized for christmas. What the hell? :)
