Feeling the need to feel motivated.

So lately, things have went very well for me.  New job.  The holidays are coming (including my birthday on Dec 8), good games on the ps3, my relationship with my girlfriend is great, good literature and tv...etc.

So, I really do not have too much to complain about and I do feel very lucky to be working in this current financial climate.

Start small and write up some adventures for games that you like. Post 'em here on your blog or something like that. Get folks to play them and give you some feedback.

Or, submit them to the publisher and see what happens.

That is not a bad idea. I have no idea what i really want to try, but I know I miss the feeling of creativity that was there a few months ago.

Yep, this way you get to try out something fun and creative without getting bogged down with a big project.

It also might spark some other ideas or help you focus on a specific item.

Actually, Matt's advice is really good. Instead of trying immediately to tackle something huge, go for a gaming article or review for flamesrising.com or maybe just an addition to a game you really like, you mentioned Evil Hat and I know you like their games.

I'm actually compiling adventures as we speak to release on http://www.Thirdeyegames.net and plan on posting regular content on that front. I haven't put out the official writer's call, but of course, i'd love to see what you could come up with for adventures. :-)

On our game... sorry i've been hella-busy, 3EG is going to print this week, which means i'm in overdrive on the last little bits before actual launch. :-D

I do hope you get back into the spirits. Definitely working a small project by yourself wouldn't hurt, even if its something akin to one of those 24 hour games, where they are just creative rules and a quick scenario. Whatever keeps you creative, dude. Life is nothing with out it.

It hasn't just been you. My life has gotten so much busier in the last few months. Hard to take time to really sit down and get going.

I am excited that your game is going to print. That is damn cool!

Of course, I would love to see a few more reviews too.

Great suggestion.
