Oh no! That's not good. I hope Romeo starts to sell better, though I can say it can't be the cover. I think Romeo's cover is better than Juliet's- I mean, look at that hot guy! I know it doesn't necessarily help, but I got a finished copy from RH and once I read and review it, I'll be donating it to my library.
Thanks, Boothy. But you know a lot of libraries won't accept ARCs because they aren't finished copy of the book and putting them into circulation is unethical (because the author receives no royalties from this book, where they would if the library bought the book to add to its circulation). Could I suggest donating the ARC to a charity--woman's shelter, school library for at risk youth, etc--rather than the library, and encouraging the library to purchase a copy for circulation instead? That would certainly be more helpful to my cause and I'd feel great knowing the ARC was truly going to someone who couldn't get the book any other way.
It wasn't an ARC. I wrote that RH sent me a finished copy, as in hardcover, not ARC. I don't donate my ARCs to my library cuz I know they don't take them, although one time I gave them a bunch to give to the local juvenile detention center.
