Jensen does desperate very well. I think this is the first time that Dean's self destructiveness and lack of self worth has really been addressed. Dean is seriously screwed up and Bobby finally pointed that out. I don't think Dean ever really forgave himself for the Faith incident, much less John dying for him. Dean has a serious death wish and it will be interesting seeing Sam try to save him from himself.
