The hiatus is killing me as well...I cannot wait until the new episodes air. As far as summer break is concerned - some wonderfully kind folks will just have to entertain us with fantastic fanfiction imho ;-)

I just loved this! There were so many great lines and you built the tension beautifully throughout. You managed to bring in Booth's innate intelligence as well as his deep romanticism, all the while capturing the torment of this adulation that seems to have knocked him to his knees this season. Like I said, there were so many great lines, but for some reason this one struck me:

He says something and leans toward your neck, and you laugh, and I’m crazy because this is none of my business but there’s the drip drip drip of my thoughts and the thump thump thump of my heartbeat and you’re too close and you’re too far and love is a terrible thing with no mercy, sometimes.

And, of course, can totally picture them teasing each other with Our Fathers and phalanges right to the bitter end. The whole piece was just lovely, thanks for writing it!
