That could work, although there would be a few issues to hash out first.

1. Would people be designated as a certain character? If yes, how would it be decided what character you play?

2. If it is just where you switch characters constantly, would there be any issues with having, say, 5 Sulus reply to one post?

3. Would "OCs" (random ensigns) be allowed?

4. If we allow OCs, would there be any Mary-Sue/Marty-Stu prevention?

Sorry about all the questions, I'm just unsure as to how it would work since this meme is so popular.

Inspired by a thread here, a few people have gotten together at startrek_diary to do stuff like this, in letters and emails and once lj posts.

It's pretty cracky, and recently we've been focusing on tertiary characters, but we could play host to a game like that.
