We hit 104 last Friday. (All hail Willis Haviland Carrier, hero of mankind!) It doesn't look like it's heading quite that high again, though it's supposed to hit 90 Saturday and we look to be getting some thunderstorms.
(A shame, that last, since the Taste of Chicago is tomorrow through Sunday, and I usually like to go there for lunch when it overlaps the work week. But we'll see.)
Oh man, I've been feeding three generations of black and white stray cats here. Little Mama's about to deliver another litter, too. I have no idea what to do about them.
it's hotter here than I'm used to these days, but still not nearly 106. And the only internet I can get is out on the porch so I'm sweating to write this to you. Back in the cool now...
