Title: O'Sullivan's Boarding House AU
Canon: TOS AU
Ship: NewOldSkool
Author: taraljc
Rating: NA
Author's Note: This is artwork for a post-Civil War AU set in Chicago before the fire, where Number One runs a boarding house where Captain Pike takes a room, which currently only lives IN MY HEAD. However, my team are pretty much determined to change that.

OMG! How absolutely stunning! The details of the letter and the photos are just superb. Who ever did the manip of Chris and Number One did a positively excellent job. It's top notch. You can't even tell that the original picture wasn't Chris and Number One.

Thanks! I actually have each of the individual manips saved out separately, but I decided to just post the collage. I'll get them up on my DA account asap!

Awesome!

Is there anyway that we could get the original text/image for the letter so that we can read it? The parts I can make out makes me so intrigued!

Very lovely BBs!

Wow! What a riveting letter!

I just knew that last paragraph talking about the Graysons would be cool!

Thank you so much for sharing!

The only characters I haven't figrued out yet, in terms of where they fit, are Gaila, Chapel, Chekov, and Sulu. Insidemyhead, Kirk and McCoy are boarders, as is Adam Grayson. Boyce is Pike's best friend from the war, and Cait is Mairéad's best friend since childhood. And Colt is the housemaid, and Lorna Simon is the housekeeper, while Tyler is Colt's beau and Scotty is the odd-man (assuming that I haven't buggered up the vocabulary cos I know way more about life in service in Victorian England than I do Victorian Chicago).

*blush* ta very much! I totally LOVE this sort of thing, and kept on tweaking it pretty much up to the last second. Here was the original manip that started it, before there was a week or so of grunging it up!

Also, the handwriting is an AWESOME font called Byron. My own cursive is nowhere NEAR as elegant!

I actually do this for a living. Well, not this exactly. Fandom is where I get to do ALL THE FUN STUFF OMG. I haven't got to do stuff even vaguely like this at work in actually almost 4 years :( Which is why I love fandom, and 'Ship Olympics, cos I get to do things I prolly wouldn't do on my own otherwise!

This whole Boarding-house AU started a few years back when I dreamt parts of it, and I've already staretd compiling the research I'd need, to start writing it. Tho I still have some other Pike/Number One stories to finish first. And, erm... an original novel. ooops?

Ooh, thanks for providing the text of the letter. Saves a lot of squinting. :-P

The graphic is gorgeous!

I debated it for a while, actually, cos I like the idea of people having to squint? But annoying people is NOT MY GOAL ;)
