We shall never know, for Chekov runs like a scared woman for the engineering station because he still hasn't told Sulu about his ~feelings~ the moment they all wake up.

And then everyone gets distracted by Spock's Brain being gone, but Chekov and Sulu totally go off and sort out their UST. :D
