Internalized Racism/Xenophobia

So I was (re)watching Star Trek 2009, and it finally hit me that all the years Spock spent on Vulcan being disparaged for his human mother must have had at least some impact on him, whether he's aware of it or not. I don't know about fic recs on the subject, but in TOS episodes there's a constant refrain of Spock proclaiming how superior Vulcans are, and McCoy needling him by comparing him to a human (and making nasty cracks about Vulcans), and Spock responding by saying please don't insult me (by comparing me to a human).

Although, for my money, the most douchey bit of xenophobia in classic trek is the moment at the end of The Wrath of Khan, where Kirk is giving Spock's eulogy as they're about to shoot his body out into space, and Kirk says "Of all the souls I've encountered in my travels, his was the most ... human."
