Hey guys, Trek is going back to IMAX for a limited run starting September 4th. Unfortunately, it's no where near the city. BUT, being the GQMFs that we are, I propose a roadtrip to the burbs. It's playing in Lincolnshire (way northside), Batavia (way westside), and Woodridge (way southwest side). Anyone intrigued by this ( Read more... )

OMG!!!! I jsut saw that post and was all bitchfaced because I just sent my gas guzzler in for lots 'o repairs and will def not have it this weekend to go to the burbs. Why hast the Navy Pier IMAX forsaken me!? I never got to see it in IMAX the first time!

I know nothing of any of those burbs despite having lived in Chicago my whole life (I have attitude about the burbs, ok?) so I don't care which one the group chooses. I will happily serve as mapquest direction monitor and provide gas monies in exchange for hitching a ride with someone!

HMM might change it up, are you free on monday, tuesday, or wednesday of next week? i was blessed with a bunch of days off for my birthday lol

ImAmandaJulius and I regularly go to Woodridge Theatre and she texted me at like... ass o'clock to inform me that it was coming back, so based on that assumption, we will definitely be going there at some point. :)

ah yes, that's right :( i'm so sorry about that whole mess, i feel terrible for you guys. would you be able to do a weekday? either monday, tuesday or wednesday of next week?

If I could get in on car pooling I will totally want to go. I usually never leave the city but am willing to trek (haha trek) out to the burbs to see it in IMax. I didn't get to see it while it was at Navy Pier.

Also, pimping this community to the other girls in Chicago.
