Finally found the ol' book
First, mmcnealy posted on her LJ a bunch of links on old out of copyright scanned books, including inventories. That got me looking further and so...
Finally, I've found the Statutes of the Realm Vol 1 pdf that contains the statutes Henry VIII enacted, and earlier legal items. And without having to travel far away to look at microfiche films to read them.
It will take me time to read them obviously, but figured others might have interest as well. I have hopes to finally get the sumptuary statutes that pertains to Henry VIII and when exactly they were enacted. And yes, I know there is a book (Rich Apparel by Maria Hayward) that covers this, but I don't have it yet. Maybe it will end up as a Xmas gift.
