Not happy

My copy of The King's Servants (I pre-ordered it around my birthday as a self gift) has arrived today... bent in half and stuffed with the rest of my mail. Not that my mailbox isn't so small as to allow it to be flat, which there is room enough, but because that's what my mail carrier does with all my mail, unless it is in a box or stiff padded ( Read more... )

That is horrible! The carrier had to feel the resistance to folding as they did that! What were they thinking???

I'm sorry to hear about this. Honestly, I've had enough experience with mail carriers having all the brains of angry gorillas, and I hear of enough from other people having same this problem, that I would think shippers would start displaying more brains than the mail carriers. I'd shoot an email to the shipper and let them know what happened, so that maybe next time, they'll include a backing or something. Griping to the Post Office seems to fall on deaf ears, so educating the shippers is all you can do.
